Box to Box Films Secures Significant Investment from Bruin Capital

Funds to be used for expansion into new verticals and potential M&A opportunities.

Box to Box Films, the production company behind Netflix’s Formula 1: Drive to Survive, has secured a significant minority investment from Bruin Capital.
With the new funds, Box to Box intends to expand into self-financed work and new verticals, such as scripted entertainment, and explore potential M&A opportunities.
Box to Box has produced sports documentaries Break Point and Full Swing for Netflix as well as Make or Break for Apple TV+, among others, while developing true crime and additional non-sports projects.
The deal represents Bruin Capital's first minority investment or foray into produced entertainment.
Box to Box will continue to be led by co-founders James Gay-Rees and Paul Martin and managing director Samantha Lawrence, but will look to expand its senior management teams in L.A. and London.
