Overview
- There are 80 postseason bids, with 72 teams already qualified heading into the Nov. 29 regular-season finale; bowl matchups are set for Dec. 7 and games run Dec. 13–Jan. 19.
- At least three spots will be decided by head-to-head games between five-win teams: Penn State vs. Rutgers, Arkansas State vs. Appalachian State, and Georgia Southern vs. Marshall.
- Twenty-one programs are one win from eligibility, including Auburn, Florida State, Kansas, Kansas State, UCF, Washington State, Army, Rice, Temple, and Buffalo.
- Nine teams clinched in Week 13: Clemson, Duke, FIU, Louisiana Tech, Miami (OH), NC State, Northwestern, Utah State, and UTSA.
- If fewer than 80 teams qualify, Delaware and Missouri State would be next in line, then APR rankings would select any 5–7 teams, with Akron already barred due to APR.
