Boulder Police Seek Owner of 1953 Wedding Band Found in Restaurant Parking Lot

The department is asking for tips while keeping the engraved initials private to verify any claim.

Overview

  • A small silver ring with the date June 6, 1953 was found on Nov. 8 in the Gondolier Italian Eatery parking lot near Baseline Road and Foothills Parkway in Boulder.
  • The woman who discovered it tried to locate the owner via social media, then turned the ring in to police on Nov. 17.
  • Boulder police publicized the case on Dec. 15 with a photo and a holiday appeal, saying they are “hoping for a Christmas miracle.”
  • Anyone with information is asked to contact the Boulder Police Property and Evidence Unit at 303-441-3340.
  • The engraving also includes the couple’s initials, which police are withholding, and the 1953 date would mark 72 years of marriage this year if it is an anniversary.
