Overview
- The bodies of Sean Pfeffer, 45, and Colter White, 53, were found on March 24 in the bed of an abandoned pickup truck along Highway 35 in the Santa Cruz Mountains, both shot to death.
- James David Collier, identified as the suspect on April 6, was arrested without incident on April 27 at his home in Boulder Creek and is being held without bail in the Santa Clara County Jail.

- Collier is scheduled for arraignment, but authorities have not yet disclosed a motive or clarified his relationship to the victims as the investigation continues.
