Overview
- On May 29, Bottega Veneta launched the ‘Craft Is Our Language’ campaign to commemorate five decades of its signature Intrecciato leather weave.
- Short films directed by Jack Davison and choreographed by Lenio Kaklea focus on artisans’ hands and gestures as a universal language of craft.
- The initiative features a global cast including Julianne Moore, Stray Kids’ I.N, Jack Antonoff and other figures from fashion, film and music.
- The campaign pays tribute to Bruno Munari’s 1963 handbook on Italian gestures and builds on the Accademia Labor et Ingenium artisan training program established in 2023.
- A companion book showcasing 50 key gestures with new images and films will debut in September alongside creative director Louise Trotter’s first collection.
