Boston Plan Would Close Three Schools and Reconfigure Three More in 2027

District leaders cite steep enrollment losses, with a Dec. 17 School Committee vote scheduled.

Overview

  • Lee Academy Pilot School, Community Academy of Science and Health, and Another Course to College would close effective June 30, 2027, for the 2027–2028 school year.
  • The Henderson Inclusion School would convert to PreK–8, Tobin Elementary would drop grades 7–8 to become PreK–6, and the William E. Russell School would add grade 6.
