Boston Fleet Ends Montreal Victoire’s Win Streak with Shootout Victory in Seattle

Montreal took an early 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Laura Stacey and Abby Boreen, but Boston rallied with goals from Hannah Bilka and Susanna Tapani to tie the game in the third period.
Susanna Tapani sealed the victory for Boston in the shootout with a decisive goal after Hannah Brandt and Hannah Bilka also scored during the tiebreaker.
The game, attended by 12,608 fans at Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena, marked the first stop of the PWHL Takeover Tour, which aims to showcase professional women’s hockey in new markets.
The event sparked interest in Seattle potentially hosting its own PWHL team, as league officials consider expansion opportunities in the future.
