Overview

  • James A. Corbett, 60, of Brockton pleaded not guilty in West Roxbury Municipal Court after a warrant was issued Monday.
  • He is charged with trafficking a person under 18 for sexual servitude, multiple counts of rape, and several counts of indecent assault and battery.
  • Prosecutors say the alleged assaults on a female victim occurred between May 2018 and September 2024.
  • Cash bail was set at $25,000, and he is being held at Suffolk County Jail with conditions that would include home confinement with GPS, no contact with children under 16, and surrender of passport and firearms if released.
  • Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden called the allegations extremely disturbing and pledged support for the victim, while Corbett’s attorney said he stands by his innocence and questioned the motive of the charges.
