- Shacoby Kenny, 32, was transported by EMS from the Suffolk County House of Correction and pronounced dead at a hospital Monday morning.
- The sheriff’s office says he exhibited erratic behavior, attacked staff, ran through the unit, and became unresponsive soon after officers restrained him.
- Jail officers and medical staff performed CPR and other lifesaving measures before paramedics arrived.
- The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office and Boston police have opened an investigation, and no cause of death has been released.
- Kenny had been in county custody since Feb. 13, including a July 2–22 stay at Bridgewater State Hospital, on charges including assault on a police officer, assault on a person over 65, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
