• All six members of New Edition joined Mayor Michelle Wu, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, and residents for a street-renaming ceremony at Dearborn Street by the Orchard Gardens Boys & Girls Club.
• The newly named New Edition Way sits at the corner of Albany and Ambrose Streets, where the group first met in 1978 and began its rise in R&B.
• A community block party followed with music, free food, youth activities, and a backpack giveaway, tying the honor to neighborhood benefits.
• Ricky Bell presented a $25,000 check to the Orchard Gardens Resident Association, and Johnny Gill donated $25,000 to the Boston Arts Academy Foundation.
