Bosch to Cut 1,100 Jobs in Reutlingen as It Transforms Site for Chip Production

Overview

  • Bosch will reduce up to 1,100 positions in its Reutlingen control-unit division by the end of 2029, affecting manufacturing, development and administrative roles.
  • The Reutlingen plant’s cleanroom will expand by more than 5,000 square meters by the close of 2025 to enable full silicon carbide wafer production from 2026.
