Borussia Dortmund Unveils 1990s-Inspired Home Kit Featuring New Vodafone Logo

Fan feedback influenced the black Vodafone logo on the throwback Puma kit designed to evoke Dortmund’s 1993/94 era.

Overview

  • The club released an official video on August 6 showcasing the new yellow-and-black jersey alongside a red goalkeeper version worn by Gregor Kobel.
  • The home shirt’s design mirrors the 1993/94 kit with a yellow base and black accents around the collar and sleeves.
  • Vodafone replaces 1&1 as Dortmund’s single Bundesliga sponsor, with its logo rendered in black at the request of supporters.
  • Puma, Dortmund’s kit supplier since 2012/13, will put the jersey on sale starting August 8 in the online store and fan shops across the Ruhrgebiet.
  • Players will debut the new home kit in competition on August 23 at FC St. Pauli’s Millerntor, while the white away shirt remains unchanged except for the sponsor swap.
