Borussia Dortmund Loans Sébastien Haller to Former Club FC Utrecht

The Ivorian striker returns to the Netherlands for the remainder of the season after a lack of playing time in Spain.

Sébastien Haller, 30, has been loaned by Borussia Dortmund to FC Utrecht, where he previously played from 2015 to 2017, scoring 51 goals.
Haller had been on loan at Spanish club CD Leganés but struggled for playing time, prompting the move back to the Dutch side.
The striker remains under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2026 but is not in the club’s plans following the arrival of Serhou Guirassy.
Haller joined Dortmund in 2022 from Ajax Amsterdam but has faced challenges, including a cancer diagnosis in the summer of 2022.
The club has expressed its support for Haller, wishing him health, success, and regular playing time in Utrecht.
