Borr Drilling Closes $360 Million Purchase of Five Noble Jack-Up Rigs

The purchase lifts Borr’s jack-up fleet to 29 rigs.

Overview

  • Noble completed the sale of the Noble Tom Prosser, Noble Mick O'Brien, Noble Regina Allen, Noble Resilient and Noble Resolute to Borr for a total of $360 million.
  • Noble received approximately $210 million in cash and $150 million in seller notes as consideration for the transaction.
  • Under transitional arrangements, Noble will operate the Noble Mick O'Brien and Noble Resolute under a bareboat charter until December 2026 and will operate the Noble Resilient through its current contract term.
  • Borr said the acquisition strengthens its ability to serve key offshore basins and supports its positioning as a leading pure-play owner of premium jack-up rigs with a young fleet.
  • The acquired units will be renamed Sif, Freyja, Forseti, Bestla and Joro as they are incorporated into Borr’s fleet.
