McAlpine reached out to the Borderlands community, expressing his wish to play the upcoming Borderlands 4 before its 2025 release.
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has contacted McAlpine, promising to do everything possible to grant his request.
The Borderlands community has shown immense support, raising over $10,000 on GoFundMe for McAlpine's medical expenses, surpassing the initial goal.
This is not the first time Gearbox has honored terminally ill fans, having previously fulfilled similar wishes for other fans in the past.
