Borderlands 4 Patch Boosts Multiple Legendaries as Gearbox Flags Nerfs to Unintended Builds Next Week

Next week brings a larger update that addresses performance alongside targeted balance for class mods, repkits, shields, and firmware.

Overview

  • This week's gear-focused patch raises the power of several Legendary weapons, with Hellwalker base damage up 30%, Queen's Rest firing 50% faster with a perk spawn chance now at 50%, Ruby's Grasp damage up 50%, Seventh Sense orb damage up 250%, and Convergence base damage up 25%.
  • Mechanical fixes include Anarchy properly granting Stacks of Mutualism after auto-reloads or kills, all pets now inheriting Critical Hit Chance from passives and gear, and Vex's Bleed counting as status effect damage.
  • Gearbox says the next update will address unintended interactions in certain Vault Hunter skills and make adjustments to overperforming gear.
  • Creative director Graeme Timmins framed the coming changes as necessary to preserve challenge and build diversity for upcoming content such as an Invincible encounter.
  • Weekly activities were refreshed, including a tougher Big Encore boss with a richer loot pool, a new Wildcard mission with a guaranteed Legendary reward, and Maurice’s Black Market moving with updated stock.
