Overview

• The Anurag Singh-directed sequel began principal photography in November 2024 and now launches Diljit Dosanjh’s portions on June 10.
• Dosanjh will portray Air Force hero Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon and film initial sequences with Sunny Deol before joining Varun Dhawan in July.
• Varun Dhawan embodies Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya while Sunny Deol reprises his iconic character from the 1997 Border.
• Producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta back the project, which revives the anthem “Sandese Aate Hai” in a new version.
• Targeting an August 10 wrap, the film is set for a January 23, 2026 release over the Republic Day weekend.
