Boogie Fland to Return for Fall Camp Following Hernia Surgery

The procedure will sideline him through August ahead of Florida’s fall camp in September.

Overview

  • Fland underwent sports hernia surgery on July 3 and faces a four- to six-week recovery.
  • He has missed the last three weeks of summer workouts during his rehabilitation.
  • Coach Todd Golden projects that he will be at full speed when fall camp begins in September.
  • Last season at Arkansas, Fland averaged 13.5 points, 5.1 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals over 21 games.
  • He joins Princeton’s Xaivian Lee and Ohio University’s AJ Brown in a retooled backcourt replacing three NBA-drafted guards, with Brown’s playing status to be decided in October.
