Bonhams to Auction 30 Bob Ross Paintings to Support Public TV Stations

Proceeds will fund licensing costs for stations using American Public Television after federal cuts.

  • Three works—“Winter's Peace” (1993), “Home in the Valley” (1993) and “Cliffside” (1990)—will be sold in Los Angeles on Nov. 11.
  • Additional auctions will follow in London, New York, Boston and online to place the remaining paintings.
  • Bonhams estimates the group at $850,000 to $1.4 million, with “Cliffside” guided at $25,000 to $45,000.
