Bomb Threats Target Delhi Courts and CRPF Schools as Police Find No Devices

Investigators are tracing a Jaish-linked email plus a PCR call to assess any ties to the recent Red Fort blast.

Overview

  • Near-simultaneous alerts around 9 a.m. prompted evacuations at Saket, Tis Hazari, Patiala House, Rohini and Dwarka courts, along with CRPF schools in Prashant Vihar and Dwarka.
  • Bomb squads and Delhi Fire Services found no explosives, with threats to the two CRPF schools declared hoaxes and court work resuming after brief suspensions.
  • Police say the threat email came from jaish-e-mohammad@gmx.com, used broken language with religious rhetoric, and was addressed to Delhi Police, with a copy reportedly sent to the PIB chief.
  • The CRPF school threats were issued via a PCR phone call from an unidentified man whose number went off soon after, and efforts to trace the caller continue.
  • Delhi Police and the NIA are analyzing technical data from the email and call to identify the sender and evaluate any connection to the recent Red Fort explosion under active probe.
