Bomb Threats Reported at Offices of Reps. Deluzio and Houlahan in Pennsylvania

Investigators are examining coordinated bomb threats against the district offices of the two lawmakers.

Overview

  • Carnegie police said Deluzio’s office received an emailed threat, prompting an evacuation and an EOD sweep that found nothing of note before an all-clear just before 5:30 p.m.
  • Deluzio’s offices in Carnegie and Beaver County were both targeted, and his spokesperson said the congressman and staff were safe.
  • Houlahan’s office in West Chester also reported a bomb threat, and her spokesperson said staff in the district and in Washington were safe.
  • State police, Carnegie police, and Allegheny County police, including the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, responded at Deluzio’s Carnegie location.
  • The threats were reported a day after President Trump posted messages accusing the lawmakers and four others of sedition over a video urging service members to refuse illegal orders, and law enforcement said investigations are ongoing.
