• Investigators have tied multiple emails to pseudonyms such as Umar Farooq and Rene Joshilda, the latter held by Ahmedabad’s cybercrime unit.
• Police and cybercrime divisions are examining VPN logs and email IP data to locate the individuals responsible for the hoax alerts.
• The series of false threats has repeatedly disrupted classes and court activities in Gujarat, Maharashtra and West Bengal in recent weeks.
