Bollywood Composer Pritam Chakraborty Reports ₹40 Lakh Theft from Mumbai Studio

An office assistant is under investigation after allegedly fleeing with cash from the music director's Goregaon-based studio.

The theft occurred on February 4, 2025, at Pritam Chakraborty's Unimus Record Pvt. Ltd studio in Goregaon, Mumbai.
₹40 lakh in cash, delivered by a production house representative as payment, was stored in a trolley bag before going missing.
Office assistant Ashish Sayal, who had worked with Chakraborty for seven years, is the primary suspect and remains untraceable.
The Malad police have registered a case under Section 381 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and launched a manhunt for Sayal.
Other staff members present at the studio during the incident are being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
