Overview
- The women's marathon began at 5:30 a.m. and the men's at 5:50 a.m., covering 42.195 km from Plaza Mayor on an out-and-back route via the Vía Expresa and the Bajada de Armendáriz.
- Metropolitano stations Colmena, Jirón de la Unión, Tacna and Ramón Castilla are closed during the race.
- Route A is diverted along Alfonso Ugarte with a single stop at Quilca–El Peruano, and Route C operates only to Estación Central.
- ATU ordered alternate alignments for the Blue and Purple bus corridors and shifted the AeroDirecto Centro airport service to start at Emancipación and run via Ramón Castilla, Avenida Argentina and Óscar R. Benavides.
- More than 4,000 athletes from 15 delegations are competing across Lima and Ayacucho through December 7 following Saturday’s torch arrival and cauldron lighting at Real Felipe.
