- The Llama Bolivariana was ignited at Simón Bolívar’s birthplace in Caracas and carried to Plaza Bolívar to open the relay.
- The XX Juegos Bolivarianos will take place in Ayacucho and Lima from 22 November to 7 December as part of the pathway to LA 2028.
- Peru’s sports institute (IPD) leads organization in coordination with the Organización Deportiva Bolivariana (ODEBO) and the Peruvian Olympic Committee (COP).
- Officials at the ceremony included COP president Renzo Manyari, Venezuela’s sports minister Franklin Cardillo, Caracas mayor Carmen Meléndez, Venezuelan Olympic Committee president María Soto, and ODEBO chief Baltazar Medina.
- Organizers said the relay will travel through multiple Latin American cities before reaching Peru to light the Games cauldron, highlighting values of unity, peace and the Olympic spirit.
