Overview

  • Argentina will use a single paper ballot nationwide on Oct. 26 that lists parties in vertical columns and offices in horizontal rows, with voters marking one box per category.
  • The Junta Nacional Electoral released an online simulator to practice voting and clarify nullification rules such as multiple marks in the same category.
  • Mendoza confirmed a separate provincial Boleta Única with colored column margins, party logos, photos and a lista completa option, so voters there will use two different ballots and two urns the same day.
  • Buenos Aires will hold its provincial elections on Sept. 7 with traditional party-sheet ballots, and the national electoral court annulled recent mass polling-place changes so many voters return to their usual locations; national padrones will be published on Sept. 16.
  • District juntas continue operational steps, including Jujuy’s draw for party order on the ballot, and Buenos Aires authorities granted Fuerza Patria an extra window to register local lists in several municipalities.
