Overview
- Relocation of F/A-18 Service Life Modification work will begin in 2026 with St. Louis activities scheduled to end in 2027.
- Boeing is evaluating transfers to San Antonio and Jacksonville, building on existing SLM operations in San Antonio and a Navy partnership at FRC Southwest in San Diego.
- Additional F/A-18 modification work already occurs in Jacksonville, providing established capacity for potential workload shifts.
- Current St. Louis SLM team members will transition to other local programs that include F-15EX, T-7A, MQ-25, and JDAM production lines.
- SLM upgrades Block II Super Hornets to Block III and adds about 4,000 flight hours, with the effort projected to continue into the mid-2030s.
