The five-year pact follows months of rejected offers, aiming to restore fighter and munitions output after strike-related delays.

Overview

  • Roughly 3,200 IAM District 837 members ratified the agreement on Nov. 13 and will return to Boeing plants in St. Louis, St. Charles and Mascoutah on Nov. 17.
  • The contract provides a 24% wage increase over five years and a $6,000 signing bonus, with average base pay projected to rise from about $75,000 to $109,000 by the end of the deal.
  • Members had rejected four prior offers; union leaders recommended acceptance of the latest proposal, which passed with 68% support, according to local reporting.
  • Boeing recruited non-IAM workers during the walkout, and executives pledged all IAM 837 members would be reinstated upon ratification with no displacement.
  • The stoppage disrupted work on F-15 and F/A-18 programs, the T-7 trainer and some munitions, and the Air Force acknowledged delays to F-15EX Lot 2 deliveries.
