Body of Record-Setting 80-Year-Old Climber Recovered on Mount Rainier

  • Eddy was found 30 to 50 feet down a crevasse at 11,500 feet on the mountain.
  • Eddy had previously survived a fall while climbing Mount Rainier in March 1999.
  • The Pierce County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death for Eddy and another climber who died on Mount Rainier last week.
