• Prince George's County police confirmed the remains found off Route 50 in Anne Arundel County on Aug. 31 are 19-year-old Dacara Thompson.
• Hugo Hernandez-Mendez, 35, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder and is being held without bond.
• Investigators say video showed Thompson approach and enter a black SUV early Aug. 23 before the vehicle went to a home on Kembridge Drive in Bowie.
• A search of that residence uncovered evidence indicating Thompson was killed in a bedroom there, while the medical examiner has not yet determined the cause of death.
• Detectives are examining whether Thompson and the suspect had any prior connection before Aug. 23, and ICE has issued a detainer after reports of a previous DUI arrest.
