Body of Missing British Hiker Found in Italian Dolomites

Rescue teams discovered a body buried under snow at an altitude of 2,600 meters near the hikers' last known location, but it has not yet been officially identified.
The search for the second hiker is ongoing, with ground teams and avalanche-trained dogs deployed after weather conditions improved on Wednesday.
The hikers, described as experienced and well-equipped, had planned to hike between mountain huts but failed to board their return flight to London on January 6.
Bad weather, including heavy snowfall and fog, initially delayed search efforts, but a phone signal and recovered equipment helped narrow the search area.
