Body of Missing 6-Year-Old Autistic Boy Found in Maryland Pond

Fawzan Hassan's body was discovered after an extensive 27-hour search involving multiple agencies and community volunteers.

Fawzan Hassan, a non-verbal autistic child, went missing during a community event at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg.
Over 100 police officers, firefighters, and volunteers participated in the search, using drones and other resources.
Hassan's body was found by a member of the public in a pond at Bohrer Park, approximately 50 yards from where he was last seen.
The cause of death is yet to be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Local officials and the community have expressed their condolences to the Hassan family.
