Body Found in Search for Missing Shropshire Man
West Mercia Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and formal identification is still pending.

- Police and family launched a public appeal after 47-year-old Jianhua Wu of Market Drayton was last seen at about 3.45am on Sunday on the A49 in Shrewsbury between Preston Island and Sundorne Island.
- Officers searching for Mr Wu announced later on Sunday that a body was discovered during the search and that it is thought to be his but has not yet been formally identified.
- West Mercia Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious and asked anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident 91i of August 2, 2026 or to call 999 if they are currently with the person.
