• Volunteers from Buckinghamshire Lowland Search & Rescue working alongside Thames Valley Police located the body after extensive searches.
• The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the Buckinghamshire Coroner.
• Fay Barney’s family has been informed by officers and is being supported at this time.
• Detectives continue enquiries and ask residents to review CCTV or dashcam footage and to check gardens, sheds, and outbuildings for information.
• Barney was last seen on September 12, captured on CCTV on Totteridge Road at 10:41am and minutes later on Lucas Road, with her car later found on Hillary Road.
