• Kyi, an Asian man in his 60s, was reported missing Sunday after being dropped off to fish near the Kaw River.
• When family returned, only his personal belongings were found at the drop-off location.
• A fisherman reported a body Tuesday morning, and deputies dispatched around 9:30 a.m. recovered it at Kaw Point Park.
• KCKFD Canine Search and Rescue, the Overland Park Dive Team and police drones aided a coordinated search effort.
• Responding agencies to the recovery included the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office, KCKPD detectives and the fire department, and police directed tips to Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers.
