- Police confirmed late Thursday that a body had been located in the search for 66-year-old Stephen Faulkner and that his family had been informed, with formal identification still to take place.
- South Wales Police mounted a five-day operation using specialist divers, drones, CSI dogs and helicopter support to search local paths and waterways.
- Officers and the family focused CCTV work after the last confirmed sighting of Faulkner at the Coppice Factory in Clydach at about 2.30pm on Saturday.
- Dozens of local volunteers joined searches on foot, bikes and quadbikes and the family said the community’s support had been "unbelievable," while they had warned Faulkner may have been confused because of health issues.
- Police said a specialist team will keep reviewing footage and inquiries will continue and urged anyone taking part in searches to stick to safe routes and avoid hazardous areas.
