• The Expressionist made its debut at Paris Fashion Week inside the Théâtre national de l'Opéra-Comique with puppets staging four life-stage vignettes of Morris Charlap’s journey.
• Bill Charlap performed his father’s compositions live, including selections from Peter Pan, Alice Through the Looking Glass and the unfinished musical 'The Expressionist'.
• Designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla drew the collection’s title and narrative structure from Charlap’s last unfinished score written with lyricist Eddie Lawrence.
• Crafting the doll-sized models required stripping down full-scale fabrics, especially knitwear, to faithfully reproduce each design in miniature.
