Police seek witnesses following the release of a detailed description of the courier who collected the cash.

  • A second caller presenting as a lawyer questioned assets and directed the 83-year-old to take a taxi to his bank to withdraw the money.
  • At about 15:00, a man picked up the cash at the victim’s home on Hollandstraße in Leithe and walked toward Ückendorfer Straße.
  • The collector is described as male, about 25–30 years old, roughly 1.65 meters tall, slim, with a darker complexion, short curly dark-brown hair, and a slightly chubby face.
  • Kriminalkommissariat 13 is investigating and asks for tips at 0234 909-4135 or 0234 909-4441, while police urge residents to hang up on money requests and report suspicious calls to 110.
