Bob Dylan shared a tribute on social media, calling Hudson 'a beautiful guy' and 'the real driving force behind The Band,' referencing their iconic song 'The Weight.'
Hudson was a founding member of The Band, which gained fame as Dylan's backing group during his pivotal transition to electric music in the mid-1960s.
The Band went on to release seven albums between 1968 and 1977, with Hudson later inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.
Dylan also announced initial dates for his 2025 tour, which will include performances in cities such as Tulsa, Wichita, and Green Bay.
