Bob Bowlsby Returns to Northern Iowa as Interim Athletic Director

The retired Big 12 commissioner steps in following David Harris's departure for Tulane.

Retired Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby has been named interim athletic director at Northern Iowa.
Bowlsby, a native of Waterloo, Iowa, previously served as Northern Iowa's athletic director from 1983-91.
He replaces David Harris, who left to become the athletic director at Tulane.
Bowlsby has a decorated career in college athletics, with roles at Iowa, Stanford, and the Big 12.
He will serve in the interim role until a full-time replacement is found.
