Bo Nix, the quarterback for Oregon's football team, has set the NCAA record for most career starts with 54, passing the previous record holders Kellen Moore of Boise State and Colt McCoy of Texas who both had 53 starts.
Bucky Irving played a crucial role in Oregon's victory over Washington State by running for 129 yards and two touchdowns, as well as catching a scoring pass from Nix.
Despite an early 10-3 deficit, Oregon bounced back because of its effective offense, largely led by Nix and Irving; the team claimed a 38-24 victory over Washington State.
