BNG Disavows Sexualized 'Bomb' Insult at Paula Prado as Internal Rifts Surface

No disciplinary action has been announced despite PPdeG calls for permanent expulsion.

Overview

  • On October 27, BNG-linked figure Rogelio Santos Queiruga posted on X a crude message in Galician implying Paula Prado “needs a bomb” in a sexual reference after she criticized a BNG meeting with Bildu and invoked “kale borroka.”
  • Prado denounced the attack on X and urged the nationalist party to remove the author from its ranks permanently.
  • BNG vice spokesperson Olalla Rodil said the comments have nothing to do with the party, do not represent it, and are completely rejected.
  • Internal differences emerged as BNG candidate Carlos Callón publicly praised Santos Queiruga, calling him a “ser de luz.”
  • Xunta president and PPdeG leader Alfonso Rueda labeled the BNG response tepid and demanded an unequivocal condemnation, while Santos defended his post as misunderstood “retranca” and criticized media coverage.
