BNEW 2025 Sets Sept. 29–Oct. 2 Program at Barcelona’s DFactory

CZFB casts the sixth edition as a magnet for talent and investment alongside a €70 million expansion of DFactory.

Overview

  • The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona will host the sixth Barcelona New Economy Week at DFactory from 29 September to 2 October.
  • Organizers project more than 12,000 participants from about 80 nationalities and roughly 320 speakers, with over 100 hours of content delivered onsite and via an app and web platform across six streaming channels.
  • The program spans seven verticals—Aviation, Health, Digital Industry, Talent, Sustainability, Mobility and Experience—with artificial intelligence threaded through discussions and defence technology slated for sessions within aviation.
  • Startups take a central role with 120 companies, sector finals pitching on 30 September under BNEW Talent, and awards scheduled for 1 October at 19:30.
  • DFactory, currently around 17,000 m² and near 90% occupancy, is slated for a €70 million expansion to about 60,000 m² by late 2026, a plan the CZFB links to thousands of new industry 4.0 jobs.
