Overview

  • The M3 CS Touring completed the 20.8 km Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes 29.49 seconds, lowering the standard Touring’s time by 5.57 seconds.
  • M development engineer Jörg Weidinger drove the record lap in April, roughly three months after the model’s January 2025 debut.
  • A 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six produces 550 PS and 650 Nm, routed through an eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox and all-wheel drive to achieve 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
  • Extensive carbon-fiber-reinforced components, adaptive M suspension, an Active M Differential and optimized DSC underpin the Touring’s track performance.
  • BMW is expected to explore CS variants of the M5 and M2 models in the coming years, using mid-cycle facelifts and Nürburgring validation for future track-focused estates.
