BMW i4 M60 Replaces M50 in U.S. With More Power as eDrive40 Gains Range

SiC power electronics lift efficiency without changing the i4’s 83.4‑kWh battery or 200‑kW peak charging.

  • The eDrive40’s SiC inverters raise estimated range to 333 miles on 18‑inch wheels or 307 miles on 19‑inch wheels, gains of up to 15 miles versus the prior model year.
  • M60 range improves to an estimated 278 miles on 19‑inch wheels and 232 miles on 20‑inch wheels, up 11 miles and 5 miles respectively.
  • All trims retain the 83.4‑kWh pack and 200‑kW peak DC fast charging, with BMW citing roughly 88–108 miles added in 10 minutes, and add a standard tire repair kit plus Drive Recorder in the Parking Assistant Professional package.
