BMTC Cuts Vajra Weekly Pass, Sets Dec. 1 Launch for NICE Road AC Link Between Madavara and Electronic City

The corporation frames the NICE Road run as an extra commute option, with any expansion tied to early ridership data.

Overview

  • The V NICE 10 Vajra AC service begins December 1 on the Madavara–Electronic City corridor, using the NICE Road bypass for cross-city travel.
  • Seven buses will run every 30 minutes from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, totaling 52 trips daily across both directions.
  • The full-journey fare is Rs 110 inclusive of NICE Road tolls, and BMTC has signaled monthly passes will be introduced with details to follow.
  • BMTC expects the nearly 45 km trip to take about 1 hour 30 minutes under normal traffic, offering a single-seat ride that can be quicker than the Metro for this stretch.
  • Separately, BMTC reduced the Vajra weekly pass to Rs 700 excluding tolls, is issuing it digitally via its official app, and added two non-AC routes linking Jnanabharathi Metro Station–Bharat Nagar 2nd Stage and Kempegowda Bus Station–Kannahalli.
