Overview

  • BMRCL signed seven-year advertising deals with Mudra Ventures for the Purple Line and Lokesh Outdoor for the Green Line, valued at ₹1.26 crore and ₹81.49 lakh respectively.
  • Full-body vinyl wraps underwent trial runs to ensure they would not harm train surfaces or obstruct driver or passenger visibility.
  • Since the June 9 launch, commuters in Jalahalli and Vijayanagar have complained that covered windows mar the trains’ appearance and might pose safety risks.
  • This rollout marks the first time in Namma Metro’s 13-year history that trains feature full exterior commercial ads after letters of acceptance were issued on January 29.
  • The ad-wrap initiative builds on BMRCL’s broader non-fare revenue efforts, including station advertising, commercial space leases and land rentals for projects such as the IKEA India development.
