BMC Sets Firm Deadlines for BandraDharavi Flyover, Worli Link and Bandra Skywalk

Officials were ordered to lock in traffic clearances early to keep work on schedule.

Overview

  • Phase-1 of the BandraDharavi flyover is about 90% complete and slated to finish by November 30, 2025.
  • Once phase-1 ends, two southbound lanes will open to provide direct access toward Mahim Causeway and ease congestion.
  • The BMC plans to issue phase-2 work orders shortly, targeting completion of the full reconstruction within 18 months.
  • The bridge over the nullah between E. Moses Road and Dr Annie Besant Road in Worli is roughly 30% complete and due by December 2026.
  • The Bandra Railway StationMHADA skywalk is about 80% complete and is set to open by December 31, 2025 under Bombay High Court directions, with contractors warned over delays and NOCs to be secured in advance.
