  • Southwest monsoon struck Mumbai on May 26, the earliest in 75 years, dumping over 200 mm of rain and triggering IMD yellow alerts through May 31.
  • Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani has promised to finish all pending monsoon-readiness work in eight days, including installing dewatering pumps in 414 low-lying areas and approving 10 vehicle-mounted units.
