Overview
- Counting starts at 10 am across 23 designated centres in Mumbai, the civic body announced.
- Votes will be tallied two wards at a time, so only 46 wards will be taken up initially rather than all 227 at once.
- Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani reviewed preparations and said the process may take about an hour longer than usual.
- A total of 2,299 personnel have been deployed for counting, including 759 supervisors, 770 assistants and 770 Class IV staff, all trained in advance.
- Results will be compiled through a computerized system with CCTV coverage, fire and medical arrangements, strong rooms cleared by PWD and police, and access limited to authorised candidates, representatives and accredited media.
